School Vision

Through a robust Science, Technology, Engineering,

Arts, and Math program, our vision is to create a

school highly regarded for its academic excellence. All stakeholders are committed to developing our

students' 21st-century skills in an innovative learning

environment enhanced by technology. Through

authentic inquiry, the engineering design process, and exploration, students engage in critical thinking and collaboration by working on real-world issues in their community.

School Mission

PS 376 engages our students by providing integrated opportunities in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. We implement student-influenced inquiry in a transdisciplinary manner and invite our students to become risk-takers, collaborative problem solvers, effective communicators, and proactive 21st-century global citizens. In all contexts, students use technology as an integrated tool for discovery, collaboration, and communication, allowing learners to solve problems in their community and helping students achieve essential learning goals in new ways.

Academics

We believe in the power of transdisciplinary learning, which is another way of saying that our students learn 21st-century skills, including reading, writing, and mathematics in real-world contexts.  Students begin with an authentic real-world issue or phenomenon rather than with content and explore an issue using many different disciplinary perspectives.
